I got this interactive cat toy for my three indoor cats, and it has been a fun way to keep them active and interested during the day. I like it because it combines a hide-and-seek style cover with a spinning butterfly and a moving plush tail, so it gives them more than one thing to focus on. It has worked well here, feels like a good value for what it offers, and I would recommend it to other cat owners.Once turned on, the toy is touch activated, so a gentle tap starts a play cycle that runs for about 10 minutes. Noisy
Our cat was definitely curious, yet cautious, about it at first and watched it for a while, but she didn’t seem to enjoy the spinning/shaking butterfly on top. The toy is also surprisingly noisy, which seemed to put her off — and honestly, it bothered us too. It may work better for cats that like fast, unpredictable movement, but for quieter or more cautious cats, this one was a miss.

Fun and engaging, but needs a more secure attachment
This toy is a hit with my cats right out of the box. They’re completely into it and it definitely keeps them entertained, which is always a win. It also charged up pretty quickly, which I appreciate.That said, there’s one design issue that’s already bothering me. The little chaser attachment under the fabric keeps coming loose when the cats start wrestling with it. I keep finding it detached and tossed around the house. It would be a big improvement if that piece screwed on securely instead of just fitting onto the arm.I just got it, so I can’t speak to the battery life yet. I’ve gone through a lot of similar interactive toys in the $20 to $25 range, and they tend to stop working pretty quickly, usually because the battery gives out. I’m really hoping this one holds up better.Overall, the cats love it, and it does what it’s supposed to do in terms of engagement. I just wish that one component felt more durable. I’ll update my review once I’ve had it longer and can speak to longevity

Interesting enough to draw my cat off the couch
I was going to go with four stars because the canopy doesn’t seem the best quality and a little cheap, but after my cat finally dug into it, it really is holding up. She is about eight years old and super mellow and hardly ever plays with anything, but once I put this together and put it down on the floor she actually got off the couch to come check it out and watched it until it quit… And that’s when she started pawing at it and it came back to life and she started messing with it more. I don’t think it’s going to turn her into a super playful cat, but it was good enough to get a very disinterested Cat involved that really only became curious once it quit moving. She’s been going at it for about 30 minutes now which is a little unbelievable to me because she’s such a mellow cat. The assembly was easy and I think it only charged for five minutes before I got the green light so it’s pretty much ready to go with very little effort. It really is fun to watch her stare at it until it comes to a stop and then she’ll bat at it and watch it move for another 10 minutes until it stops… And then she repeats the process. Every once in a while she’ll get a claw dug in and drag it with her as the video shows and that’s when it gets exciting.
