Why did the toy stop turning on after charging?

This is actually a very common first reaction.

Since the toy worked normally before charging, many people naturally assume a quick tap should turn it back on immediately afterward. However, the toy uses a press-and-hold power design (about 1 second) to help prevent accidental activation during shipping or handling.

If the toy doesn’t respond after charging, simply press and hold the power button for about 1 second instead of tapping it quickly.
